Q: What is Suspension Training?

A: A new category of exercise for athletes of all abilities that leverages one’s own bodyweight and gravity to develop strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability simultaneously.

Q: What is RIP Training?

A:  Rip™ Training is a new form of functional training with elastic resistance. It complements TRX Suspension Training® bodyweight exercise by offering a total body workout emphasizing rotational power and high velocity movements that can be adjusted for any level.

Q: Why is Suspension Training different than Traditional Exercise?

A: Traditional weight training often only works one muscle at a time, while Suspension Training focuses on total body strength training, moving through multiple planes of motion and works multiple muscles and joints-all at the same time.

Q: What do you do in a TRX Training Center Workout?

A: During the TRX Workout you will perform upper and lower body exercises that activate your core throughout and allow you build strength, improve flexibility, balance and core stability. With the innovative programming and variety of exercises you will get an effective, total body workout in each class with no chance of boredom.

Q: How do I get started?

A: Please call 415-655-4797 to schedule a one on one session with our Lead Instructor. You will learn the fundamentals of TRX Suspension Training and RIP Training which will allow your first class to be one to remember.

Q: What if I can’t schedule an appointment first?

A: If your schedule doesn’t allow you to make it to that session, please view the class schedule and register for any of the classes online. Just plan to show up to your first session 15 minutes prior to the start of class in order to go through a condensed introductory session.

Q: What happens if I sign up for a class, but cannot make it?

A: You may cancel your reservation up to one hour before the class online, in order to avoid getting charged for the session. If you no-show you will be charged for the class.

Q: Do I have to sign up in advance?

A: While it is not required, it is highly recommended that you sign up in advance, online using our online reservation system, MINDBODY, to guarantee a spot in the class.

Q: Do I need to own a TRX Suspension Trainer or RIP?

A: No, the TRX Suspension Trainers will be supplied for all the class attendees to use at the training center.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Please wear comfortable workout clothes and a pair of tennis shoes.

Q: Are there showers and lockers?

A: Yes, there are showers, lockers and towel service. There are two showers per locker room and towels are complimentary. Please bring your own lock for the lockers. Lockers are for daily use only and items will be removed overnight and placed in lost and found. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Q: Do you offer Personal Training sessions?

A: Yes, we do.  Our staff of experienced trainers is available to help expand your knowledge and performance of TRX Training and how it can best fit into your overall training plan.  Please call for details.
